This. This is how I like spaghetti squash – when it is still spaghetti squash. When we are not really pretending it is something else. But serving it up as it is. Highlighting all those vegetable qualities that really do make it something wonderful. Adding some sharp and intense flavours like garlic and feta. Good olive oil. This Spaghetti Squash with Feta and Kale is spot on… if I do say so myself. 🙂
Sometimes the simplest things are the best of things. And sometimes simple can be so much more than just simple….
These are not the sweet potatoes you had yesterday. Nope. These are Roasted Sweet Potatoes and they are sweet and salty and peppery and smoky. These are amazing.
Roasted, crispy beans with roasted, creamy garlic… swoon…
I’m reposting this recipe from the very early days because it is still one of my favourite winter recipes.
This is that recipe you need to have on standby for when you faced with a fridge full of good intentions but you have no plan. This is your plan
…. here are 8 side dishes that would make me absolutely giddy to see at the holiday table. And they will please the rest of the crowd too. The holiday feast is all about the side dishes anyway.
this recipe, slightly, otherwise this is the same salad my mom has been making since I was shorter than the countertops. Mom always adds sliced onion to the cucumbers. It is really good.
Broccoli and Feta salad. A summer salad. Something you can make now and serve later today or even tomorrow. Polucks, parties, BBQs, lazy Saturdays
this Cauliflower Gratin is really comforting and rich and low carb. Perhaps Paleo, but not vegan unless you skip the parm
And before you conclude that chutney is only for Indian inspired dishes and curries, I want you to know that I will be making this all summer. Fresh grilled veggies, sweet corn (I can’t wait), anything off the BBQ, warm and crispy Naan.. or like here, just tossed on some boiled potatoes.
I didn’t know what to call this – a salad, salsa, relish? Did you know slaw is just another word for salad? Slaw felt most appropriate because of the spoon-ability of the dish. So we have slaw.
